JOSEPH ANTHONY LAPIETRA JR.

Funeral services for Joseph Anthony "Tony" LaPietra, Jr., 54 of West Monroe, LA 
are 10:00 AM Monday, August 25, 2014 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home 
West Monroe with Bro. Ray Jones officiating. Interment follows at New Winnsboro 
Cemetery, Winnsboro, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West 
Monroe.

Tony was born August 31, 1959 in Monroe, LA and passed away at his home on 
August 21, 2014 in West Monroe. He was founder and co-owner of Bayou Pawn Shop, 
Monroe for many years, after which he left and opened up Bayou Pawn Shop West in 
West Monroe which has been in business for over 20 years. He had recently 
retired and turned the business over to his children and had plans to spend more 
time with his grandchildren. He was a great father, husband and grandfather. 
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Joseph LaPietra, Sr., and his mother, 
Dora Carter LaPietra.

Tony is survived by his wife Stephanie LaPietra; daughter, Miranda Frost Howard 
and husband, Bradley; son, Joseph A. LaPietra III "Jake" and fiancé Rainie 
Freeman, three beautiful granddaughters, Leia, Lanie and Lexi Howard which were 
his pride and joy; sister, Sharlotte Cain and husband, Jimmy; niece, Candace 
Cain-Samuels and husband, Rob; mother and father-in-law, George and Martha 
Stapleton; brother-in-law, Randy Stapleton and wife, Roberta; sisters-in-law, 
Ann Stapleton and Lore Stapleton, Becky Leggett and husband, Paul, and Melissa 
Hamilton, and husband, Garey; brother-in-laws, Joe Stapleton and wife, Renee, 
and Zac Stapleton; his longtime friend, Jeff Duggins and god-daughter, Holly 
Duggins; a number of nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Reece Leggett, Joey Hutson, Doug Faulk, Ross Leggett, Jason Mask 
and John Wheeler. Honorary pallbearer is Jeff Duggins.

Visitation is Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home West Monroe.
