JOSEPH SALVADOR LASUZZO

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Salvador LaSuzzo, 77, of Monroe, LA, will be 
held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral 
Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Msgr. Edmund Moore officiating. Interment 
will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. LaSuzzo passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center. 
He was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, a lifetime member 
of Monroe Youth Baseball Association, a graduate of Neville High School, and 
attended Northeast Louisiana University. Mr. LaSuzzo retired as Captain from 
the National Guard after twenty years of service. Retired from the banking 
business, he was employed with Friendly Finance (who was like a family to him) 
at the time of his death.

Joe's main topic when anyone was around was his family. They were his passion 
and life as well as his work. Joe will be deeply missed by his family.

Mr. LaSuzzo was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Martha Scalia 
Lasuzzo.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Faye LaSuzzo; two sons, Dennis 
Paul LaSuzzo and wife Wendy, and Ronald Joseph LaSuzzo and wife Cheryl of 
Monroe; three sisters, Marion Slavant, Josephine Miller, and Martha Snider; 
nine grandchildren, Lauren LaSuzzo, Tony LaSuzzo, Michelle LaSuzzo, Jordan 
LaSuzzo, Zach LaSuzzo, Kirby Buttitta, Christopher Buttitta, Nicholas Buttitta, 
and Kam Buttitta; James Scalia, who was like a brother to him; and a number of 
nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Charles Miller, Clifford Miller, Kenneth Miller, 
Keith Miller, Bill McKinney, and Merwin McKinney.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Scalia, III, Bill Loftin, Jim Loftin, Robert 
Loftin, and Steve Powell.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and a Vigil Wake Service 
at 6:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Memorials may be made to St. Frederick Athletic Department or to St. Jude 
Children's Research Hospital.

Special Thanks from the LaSuzzo family to St. Francis Medical Center, ER, MICU, 
and the many doctors and nurses who gave their professional care during Mr. 
LaSuzzo's illness.
