Mollie said "if I lived 40 more years I could not have been happier than I have been till now". She was born on March 22, 1954 in Monroe, Louisiana to Elsie D Doughtie of Tyler, Texas and the late William H Doughtie. She was raised in Monroe, LA and had lived in Dallas for the last 35 years. Mollie was a graduate of St. Frederick High School, Monroe, Louisiana and atended ULM. She was a faithful member of St. Rita Catholic Church Dallas, TX. Mollie is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years Joseph (Joe) Laws and her son Brian Thomas Laws both of Dallas, TX; her mother Elsie Doughtie of Tyler, TX; her brother William (Billie) Doughtie and wife Rebecca and nieces Bailey and Bella, Woodlands, TX; brothers-in-law Richard (Dick) and the late Annette Laws, Baton Rouge, LA and Peter Quinn and Delia Cassidy Laws, Dallas, TX; sisters-in-law Mary Ruth Laws Funk, Alexandria, LA and the late John B Laws; Dorothy (Dot) Lawso Monroe, LA and the late Chades F (Ford) Laws; Carolyn Jowers Laws, West Monroe, LA and the late Ret. Master Sergeant William (Bill) Laws, USMC, and the late Thomas (Tiny) Laws; sisters-in-law the late Ann Laws DuBos, Sr. Angelita Laws, Monroe, LA, Mary Laws, Monroe, LA, Sr. Monica Marie Laws, Springfield, IL. She is also stuvived by very special cousin Mitsy Garrison of Tyler, TX. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Woodard, Norm Plance, Mark Atteberry, Dick Beck, Kirr Pulliam, Wray Garrison, Randy Holt, Mike Stark and Steve Mays. A special thanks to Drs. Kristi Mclntyre MD, W Lee bourland MD, and Mark Fleshler MD. We are grateful to the wonderful ladies at Texas Oncology Presbyterian Hospital Nancy Pfleeger RN, Kay Smith, Amy Jordan RN and Jennifer Desmond RN. A celebration of Mollie's life will be held at St Rita Catholic Church on Saturday May 31 at 2:00PM. Interment will be at St. Paschal's Cemetery, West Monroe, LA at a later date.
