Mike Pennock officiating. Interment will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery, Newellton, LA. under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday. Mr. Lee was born April 10, 1944 and passed away Sunday May 24, 2009. Sidney farmed in Tensas Parish for 40 years and his favorite pass time was watching his grandchildren play ball. He was on the Board of Directors of Tensas Acadamey for 8 years, was a board member of First South Production Credit, Planters Gin, and Gravity Drainage District 3. Sidney was Chairman of the Farm Service Agency County Committee for 9 years and was a Deacon at St. Joseph Baptist Church. He Served his Country in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by: Father-Lawrence Lee; Mother-Maggie Ezernac Lee; Sister-Edna Mae Lee. Survivors include: Wife of 45 years-Sandra Choat Lee of Saint Joseph, La.; Son Darron Jeffery and his wife Dawn of St. Joseph, LA.; Son David Ross and his wife Christy of St Joseph, LA.; 3 Grandsons Kellon Lawrence, Morgan Jeffery and Joshua David; 2 grand daughters-Maggie Anne and Sydney Catherine; 3 Step- Grand children-Kaitlen, Austin and Lauchlyn; Mother in Law- Virgina Choat of St. Joseph, LA. and a host of family and close friends. Pallbearers will be Jeff Lee, Kellon Lee, David Lee, James Arceneaux Jr., Ronnie Parker and David Fussell. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Mens Sunday School Class of St. Joseph Baptist Church, Robert Bradley, Robert Carroll, Roy Jackson and Charlie Joe James. The family will receive friends at St Joseph Baptist Church from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2009.
