MARTIEL PIERCE LEE

Monroe, Louisiana

Funeral services for Mrs. Martiel Pierce Lee, 86, of New Braunfels, TX, 
formerly of Monroe, LA will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 16, 2009 at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe on Lamy lane with Bro. W. A. Massey and 
Ricky Baker officiating and interment to follow at Monroe Memorial Park under 
the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Lee was born on March 20, 1922 to her parents, Tom and Betty Rawls Pierce 
in Rawls Arkansas and passed away on March 11, 2009 in New Braunfels, TX. Mrs. 
Lee was a retired registered nurse of graduating class of 1945 at St. Francis 
School of Nursing and was also a charter member of Grace Baptist Church in 
Monroe. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. M. (Morrell) Lee.

Mrs. Lee is survived by sons: John Lee and wife, Barbara of Monroe, and 
Richard Lee and wife, Brenda of Ruston; daughter: Betty Jane Lemmons and 
husband, Ray of New Braunfels, TX; five grandchildren: Chris Lee, Travis Lee, 
Spencer Lee, Megan Lemmons, and Laura Lemmons; two great granddaughters: 
Morgan Lee and Hailey Lemmons; brothers: Rawls Pierce and wife, Merle of 
Crossett, AR and Gene Pierce and wife, Elizabeth of Prattville, AL; sisters-in-
law: Caureen Pierce of Crossett, AR and Judy Pierce of New Braunfels, TX; and 
numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Travis Lee, Spencer Lee, James Pierce, Jimmy Sanford, Jim 
Sanford, and Kyle Sanford.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Roy McCaa, O. B. McCaa, Jr., and Bill Ferrington.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.
