Saturday October 29, 2016 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Monroe, LA, with Rev. John Mabray officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA. Mrs. Lee was visiting with her family in Colorado and passed away suddenly on Monday, October 24, 2016. Barbara was lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Monroe, serving on numerous committees and served as an Elder. She recently joined Covenant Presbyterian Church. Barbara was a member of the AE Chapter of P. E.O., an avid Bridge player earning her Bronze Life Master Bridge status, and loved traveling with family and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and June Monroe; husband, Robert "Bobby" E. Lee; son, Dr. Earl Lester Tarver Jr.; and step- grandson, Jack Lee. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Stephen (Tank) Hill; daughter-in-law, Susan Tarver; brother, Fred Monroe and wife Alice; grandchildren, Heather Johnson and husband Stewart, Dr. Justin E. Tarver and wife Dana, Stephen R. Hill, II and wife Kristin, and Joshua E. Tarver; great- grandchildren, Emma and Claire Johnson, Harrison and Griffin Tarver, Rachel and Hannah Hill; step-daughter, Tracey Huff and her children, Taylor, Sally and Lauren; step-son, Jeff Lee and his wife, Jenny and their son, David; lifelong friend who was like a sister, Pat Merriman; very special sister-in-law, Tency Tarver; dear cousin, Sharon Thomas and husband Jerry; niece and nephew , Melanie and Jeff Monroe; and so many wonderful friends. Pallbearers will be Dr. Justin Tarver, Stephen Hill, II, Joshua Tarver, Stewart Johnson, Fred Monroe, and Jeff Lee. Memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church building fund or The American Cancer Society .
