Larry Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Harold was born on April 22, 1928 in Ouachita Parish and passed away January 8, 2015. He served in the United States Army as a medic from 1946 to 1948. He was recalled back into service in 1950 and served as a medic in Hot Springs, Arkansas. A veteran of World War II and Korea, he received an Honorable Discharge for each of his tours of duty. He retired in 1987 after serving as Chief Fire Alarm Operator for the city of Monroe Fire Department with over 38 years of service. Harold was an avid deer hunter and fisherman and a true sportsman! He made yearly trips to Denton, Texas to hunt with his longtime friend, Dennis Herd. Harold was a long-time member of Cypress Baptist Church. Harold was preceded in death by his wife Regina Lenard; his mother and father, Dentis Pankey and Lelia Lenard; brother, Alfred Lenard and sister, Ernie Dean. Harold is survived by 2 sons, Dennis Wayne (Lynette) Lenard; John Edward Lenard; daughter, Paula Denise Lenard Childers; 3 sisters, Wilda (Ray) Floyd, Sue Procell, Jeanette (Tommie) Ford, and 7 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and special friend Shelbie Lenard. Pallbearers are Steve Delancey, Kerry Lenard, Dennis Herd, Jarvis Renfro, Randy Christy, Mike Ford and Ernest McHenry. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Wilbanks, Doug Wheelington, Gary Watts, Lamar Owens and Carl Frost. Visitation is Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cypress Baptist Church.
