ALVERNE FORD LEWIS

Alverne Ford Lewis passed on November 02, 2015. Services are 11:00 A.M., 
Saturday at First Baptist Church, Monroe, LA. Family hour is 5:00 -6:30 P.M. 
Friday at Smith Funeral Home, Monroe, LA. Interment will be in the Mulhearn 
Memorial Park, Monroe, LA

On April 24, 1955, Alverne Regale Ford, twin of Alvin, was born a loving 
daughter of Cleveland Ford Sr. and Willie Lee Thornton of Monroe, Louisiana. 
Raised in a God fearing home, she found Christ at an early age and was baptized 
by the late Reverend Jessie James Stewart at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist 
Church in Monroe, Louisiana.

Alverne Ford Lewis departs in loving memory her husband of forty-one years, 
Clifton L. Lewis. Through this union, they were blessed with two sons, Quincy 
D. Lewis (wife, Sharon Spencer of Oak Grove) and Eric A. Lewis (wife, Rosalind 
Jones of Monroe) currently residing in Monroe, LA and Missouri City, TX, 
respectively.
