JARED LYNN LIGHTSEY

CROWVILLE, LA. - Services for Mr. Jared Lynn Lightsey, 18, of Crowville, will 
be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 1998, at Crockett Point Baptist Church in 
Crowville with Rev. Raymond Beard and Larry Cox officiating. Burial will be in 
Harris Cemetery near Crowville under direction of Riser First National Funeral 
Home of Winnsboro.

Jared died Friday, July 17, 2998 , in Monroe.

He was a Christian and a member of Crockett Point Baptist Church where he has 
been an active member of the youth group and sang in a local Christian band. 
Jared, a 1998 graduate of Crowville High School, was voted Mr. CHS and was an 
All-District football and baseball player. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved 
hunting and fishing. At the time of his death, he was employed with Netcomm 
Data Services in West Monroe.

Survivors include his parents, T-Buck and Lawana Lightsey; his brother, Rodney 
Lightsey; his grandparents, Charles and Jean Monroe; and his great-
grandparents, D.J. and Varnie Monroe, and Vester and Nola Busby, all of 
Crowville. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, and 
a multitude of friends.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Ernest and Mildred Lightsey. 
Visitation will be at Crockett Point Baptist church until service time Sunday.
