DARLYN MCCARTY LITTLE


Funeral services for Darlyn McCarty Little, 86, of Winnsboro will be held 2 pm 
Thursday June 19, 2014 in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with 
Dr. J. Alan Miller, Rev. Marion Collier and Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. 
Interment will follow in New Winnsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm 
Wednesday June 18, 2014 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Darlyn was born June 30, 1927, in Crowville to Daniel Stephen and Celia 
Parker McCarty and passed from this life on June 16, 2014 in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Darlyn was a member of First Baptist Church, she was Baptized at Bethany 
Baptist Church in Newellton at an early age. She was a dental assistant with her 
husband for 55 years and continued working with her son.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Dr. Lamar E. Little; one 
brother Delmus McCarty; and two sisters Erie Sanders and Blondel Gebhart.

Survivors include three sons: Stephen E. Little of Orlando, FL; McHenry Little 
and wife Alett of Hot Springs, AR; Dr. John T. Little and wife Charlotte of 
Winnsboro; two sisters Pauline McCarty of Eufaula, OK; Kathreen Shane of 
Farmers, IN; grandchildren Trent E. Little, Candace Smith and husband Tanner, 
their child Addison; Denver Little and wife Brittany; Anna Robinson and husband 
Dr. Jed Robinson, their children Madeline, John and Eli; Dr. Emily Casis and 
husband Dr. Daniel Casis, their son Grant; Dr. Laura Little Wooley and husband 
Justin Wooley; and Katy Little, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Daniel Casis, Denver Little, Jerry Robinson, Tanner 
Smith, Joe Walters and Justin Wooley.
