LITTLETON Funeral services for Joe S. Littleton, 85, of Downsville will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Louis Bartet officiating. Interment will follow at Point Acree Cemetery under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mr. Littleton was born April 12, 1927 in Union Parish. He was a member of the McComb, MS Masonic Lodge and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 406. Mr. Joe enjoyed a long career in pipeline construction. He never truly retired as he worked and "piddled' every day on his small farm in Point, LA. He devoted the last 20 years of his life to raising and enjoying his two granddaughters; roaming with them through the fields, woods and creek beds. On December 28, 2012, Mr. Joe passed peacefully from this world after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his wife Miriam Reeves Littleton. He is survived by his two children, Bobby E. Littleton and wife Linda and JoAnn Littleton Whitehead and husband Donald; two granddaughters, Aimee Littleton Allen and husband Joey, and Katie Whitehead; one great-grandson Tate Allen; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A special thank you is extended to family friend Joanna Powell, A Touch of Love Hospice (Janice), Agape Hospice, Dr. David Hebert and staff, Dr. Jay Altick, and all of our friends and family for your continuous help and support. Papa will be greatly missed by those who loved him so very much. Pallbearers are Clint Littleton, Alan Littleton, James Littleton, Johnny Guice, Trevor Thayer, and Brad McCrory. Honorary pallbearers are John Allen, Roy Littleton, Sammy Guice, Doc Guice, Johnny Ray Freeman, Jamie Morganthall, and Buddy O'Brien. Visitation will be Sunday, December 30 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
