ETHEL ELOISE LIVELY

Funeral services for Ethel Eloise "Woody" Lively age 81 of Columbia will be 
held 2:00 PM Monday January 16, 2017 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral 
Home with Rev. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome 
Home Cemetery at Grayson. Ethel Eloise Lively was born on October 31, 1935 in 
Caldwell Parish to the union of her parents Walker Welch Lively SR and Erpha 
Eloise Harvey Lively and she passed from this life on Friday January 13, 2017 
at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia following an extended illness.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister-in-law Margaret 
Mills Lively. Ethel was an extraordinary person especially when it came to her 
memory. She could tell you the birthdays of the Haven residents and their 
family members and what their dogs names were, not to mention all of her 
family. She was also a Bingo Master. She attended IBM Business School and in 
her earlier year's baby sat for numerous peopleLeft to cherish her memory are 
her brother Pete Lively of Columbia, her niece: Phyllis Ballard and her husband 
Roger of Columbia, three nephews: Danny Lively and wife Carla of Crowville, 
Tommy Lively and wife Linda of Eros and Scott Lively and wife Cheryl of 
Columbia, ten great nieces and nephews and twenty one great-great nieces and 
nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Lively, Shannon Varnell, Colt Lively, T J 
Lively, Brandon Lively, and Ryan Ballard.Special thanks to Dr. Pankaj Shroff 
for his many years of care. We also thank Haven Nursing Center for giving Woody 
the three best years of their love, friendship and teaching her Bingo.
