JOHN MALCOLM LONG

Funeral Services for John Malcolm Long, 64, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 
2:00PM Sunday, May 8, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe 
with Bro. Jerry Whitman officiating. Interment will follow in Holmesville 
Baptist Cemetery, Downsville under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
West Monroe.

Mr. Long was born on August 3, 1951 in Virginia Beach, VA and passed away at 
his home on May 5, 2016 in Calhoun, LA. He will be remembered as a gentle 
giant, wonderful husband, loving father and Pappy. He is preceded in death by 
his parents, John and Elaine Long.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Long; daughters, Tammy Dean and husband 
Curt, and Nikki Deason and husband Trey; sons, Scott Long, Chris Moon, Dustin 
Long and fiancé Kayla Strickland; 3 grandchildren, Colby Dean, Connor Deason, 
and Madison Deason; sister, Yvonne Ritchie; brothers, Larry Long and wife 
Beth, Paul Long and wife BJ, Mike Long and wife Cheryl; his beloved pet, Mr. 
Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Powell, Chad Jerkins, Nick Long, William Long, 
Chris Long, and Aaron Skipper.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
