BETTY RUTH GAMMEL LOPER

Betty Ruth Gammel Loper went to be with her Lord and Savior October 10, 
2014. Betty was born February 25, 1936 in Mer Rouge, Louisiana to William 
Louis and Lula Mae Collins Gammel.

Betty married the love of her life Joe Loper on November 7, 1953. They 
cherished 59 years of life together as one, living the majority of that time 
in Monroe, Louisiana. They spent their remaining years in Kilgore, Texas.

Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Les and Tonia Loper of 
Kilgore, TX, son and daughter-in-law Ben and Sandra Loper of Cabot, AR. She 
is also survived by grandchildren Lori Shelton and husband Marty of Kilgore, 
TX, Chad Loper and wife Courtney of Kilgore, TX, Russ Loper and wife Andrea 
of Beebe, AR and Lindsey Beaver and husband Mitch of Cabot, AR. 8 great-
grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many other loving 
family members and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Melvin L. (Joe) Loper, her 
parents William Louis and Lula Mae Collins Gammel and brother Robert Gammel.

Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, Nonnie and friend to many 
others. She worked and succeeded at various jobs throughout her life but her 
proudest achievement was her family.
