Love) Southern Funeral Home - Winnfield, LA Services for Dhale Malone Love, 89, of Winnfield, LA will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 27, 2005 in the chapel of the Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield. Graveside service will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Farmerville, LA at 2:00 PM. Mrs. Love, a retired teacher of thirty-eight years was born May 11, 1916, in Farmerville, LA. She passed away, Wednesday, December 21, 2005, after a short illness. She was a member of the Palestine Chapter #55 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Sorority for teachers. Mrs. Love was the 1980 State of Louisiana Mother of the Year and was a guest speaker at the American Convention of Mothers held in Phoenix, AZ in 1980. She graduated from Farmerville High School, received her BS from Louisiana Tech University and her MS from Stephen F. Austin University. Mrs. Love was in Who's Who in Education. She co-authored, with her husband, fourteen books on Masonry, the Eastern Star, churches and church leaders, parishes, education, and sports. Mrs. Love taught Sunday School for twenty-eight years at the Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield. A beautiful church chapel, The Love Chapel, was erected in her honor for her services to God and humanity. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Rodale Malone and Sophronia Nolan Malone and her sister, Maureen Malone Ward. Survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, Eugene F. Love of Winnfield, LA; her two daughters, Dr. Donna Love Wright of Ashland, OR and Dr. Phyllis A. Love of Ruston, LA; her "special" daughter, Dr. Darlene A. Kluka of Ruston, LA; grandson, Vincent Craig Wright and partner Natalie Mickey of Ashland, OR; granddaughter, Toni S. Wright of Taos, NM; great grandchildren, Vincent Love Wright, Silas Henry Wright, and Kenya Mickey-Wright of Ashland, OR; sister, Loette McIntosh of Bernice, LA; two nieces, two nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Greg Davies, Mike Smith, Rodger Ross, Randy Hall, Johnny Brister and Jimmy Zimmerman. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Brazzell, Mike Jordan, James Sandifer, Ronald Brazzell, Jim Fannin, Lynn Bankston, Teddy R. Price and her grandchildren. Special honorary pallbearers will be her ADK Sisters. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, December 26, 2005, at the Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, LA and from 8:00 AM to service time on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Visitation and graveside services will follow at the Antioch Baptist Church and Antioch Cemetery in Farmerville, LA. Friends may make contributions to their favorite charity.
