She was preceded in death by her loving husband Miles, her parents Max and Evelyn Harris, in-laws Earl and Bess Luke and brothers Richard Harris and Donald Harris. Born December 29, 1920, in Sparta, Wisconsin, Vivian graduated from Sparta High School, attended Lacrosse Teachers College and graduated from Minneapolis School of Business in Minnesota where she met her future husband, Miles. Vivian and Miles were married on Valentine's Day in 1942. At the time of Miles's death in December of 2016, they were married just two month's shy of 75 years. The first twenty-five years of their marriage, Vivian spent as a devoted Air Force wife moving all over the world with Miles. Vivian was always sweet, kind- hearted and loving; she was a strong woman in her own quiet way. She unselfishly cared for her family and home during Miles's numerous times of deployment with the military. When Vivian turned 50, she took up painting as a hobby. Over the years, she perfected her art, filling her home and the homes of her children with her beautiful artwork. Her last works were colored pencil portraits of each of her grandchildren. Throughout her life, Vivian was active in numerous organizations including Newcomer's Club, Garden Club, Nota Bene' - but by far, her favorites were the several bridge groups to which she belonged. Life long friends were formed and held dear to her heart in each of these groups. Vivian was the heart and soul of the family; a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was watching those she loved become happy and successful. Pallbearers are Charles Lejeune, Travis Smith, Jerry Thomas, Michael Smith, Trevor Thomas, Jason Hess, Devin Ledet and Andreas Duplantis. The Luke family would like to give special thanks to Charlotte Coleman for her loving care of our mother.
