LYLES MANGHAM, LA Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA Services for Mr. Elwyn C. Lyles, 76, of Mangham, LA will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 21, 2008 at Mangham Baptist Church in Mangham, with Rev. Rick Aultman and Rev. Jimmy Eppinette officiating. Burial will follow in Gwin Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro, LA. Mr. Lyles passed away, Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. Mr. Lyles was a retired high school teacher and administrator for 30 years. During this time, he served as science teacher at Winnsboro High School and principal at Mangham High School and Franklin Academy. He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and a veteran for the United States Army. After retiring from the educational field, Mr. Lyles worked as an X-ray technician for Abraham Medical Clinic. He was an active member of Mangham Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the F.E. Lyles Memorial Scholarship Fund by contacting Barbara Thompson at Franklin State Bank in Winnsboro, LA. Survivors include: Wife: Mrs. Frances Deggans Lyles of Mangham, LA.Daughters: Debbie Lyles and Suzana Robertson of Winnsboro, LA.Son and Daughter-in-Law: Elwyn and Angel Lyles of Pineville, LA. Grandchildren: Leslie, Lauren, Lynden and Laine Lyles, Zach and Zadiee Waller. Sister-in-Law: Mrs. Marylin Sanders of Rayville, LA.Brother-in-Law, James Dear of Bush and Uncle, Leo Cheek of Mangham, LA.Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Extended Family: Mrs. Violet Robertson, Bill, Jim, and Bobbie Bruce. Pallbearers are: Bill Bruce, Jim Bruce, Joe Lyles, Danny Hendrix, Edwards Roberts, Keith Pruitt, John Lee Natt, and Althan Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Leo Cheek, J. T. Tims, Lloyd Torrey, Orville Lewis, Fred Douciere, Fred Dunham, Rufus Smith, and the Mangham Baptist Church Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Mr. Lyles will always be remembered for his dedication for molding teenagers into adults during his years in the field of education.
