LYNCH Memorial Services for Mr. Jerrold "Jerry" W. Lynch, 86, of West Monroe, LA, will be 3:00 PM Thursday, September 4, 2014 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Josh Milliron officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service at the funeral home. Jerry was born March 24, 1928, son of Albert Lynch and Rowena Van Buren Lynch in Pavilion, New York. He graduated high school in Pavilion at the age of 16. Jerry joined the United States Army after high school and then went to Clarkson College of Technology in Potsdam, New York, graduating in Chemical Engineering. He has had a long career working in the chemical field. Jerry met Barbara Cockrell when they both worked at CSC in Sterlington and married her on October 20, 1956 in Bastrop, Louisiana. He later worked for Whitt Stevens in Arkansas, beginning at the Pine Bluff Arsenal and then as manager and Vice President of the Fertilizer Plant in Helena, Arkansas. He then worked for Beker Chemicals in Louisiana, Idaho, and American Cyanamid in Louisiana, Canada, and Florida. Jerry retired in 1989. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Helena, Arkansas and served on the church board. Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, George Edward Lynch. Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara Cockrell Lynch; three sons, Daniel Lynch, of Cottonwood, Idaho, David Lynch and his wife Kim of Pocatello, Idaho, Doug Lynch of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Cassie Steiner and her husband Carlin of Boise, Idaho, Jerrold "JR" Lynch of Pocatello, Idaho, and Maria Lynch of Boise, Idaho, great-grandchildren, Ariana, Jace, and Kyeson Steiner of Boise, Idaho; sister-in-law, Louise Lynch of Pavilion, New York; nephew, Dr. Michael Lynch of Laurens, New York, grandnieces, Virginia and Christina; and grandnephew, Mike Jr - File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/ouachita/obits/l/lynch3140nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/lafiles/ File size: 2.4 Kb
