Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Magouirk died April 15, 2013 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Magouirk was a member of the Ridge Ave. Baptist Church in West Monroe. Alice was a very talented woman; she was a Licensed Practical Nurse, certified Mensa, and served as an Ombudsman for various nursing homes in our area. She loved her family, reading, gardening, crossword puzzles and Jeopardy. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph; Sons, Lonnie and Pat; and grandson, Lance. Survivors: her sons, Donald Lawrence Magouirk, Chris Magouirk and his wife, Kris of Lafayette, LA and Ralph Kelly Magouirk; Grandchildren, Amy Renae Magouirk, New York, NY, Jared Magourik and wife, Ann, and Hayley Magouirk, all of Hollywood, CA, Preston Magouirk of Baton Rouge, LA, Devin Magouirk, Lee Magouirk and Erin Nance all of West Monroe, LA. Pallbearers will be Larry Magouirk, Chris Magouirk, Preston Magouirk, Don Lenard, Devin Magourik and Charles Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Amy, Jared and Hayley. Visitation will be from 8:30 AM Friday until 9:50AM when family leaves in funeral procession to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Ridge Ave Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice Compassus; nurses, Judy, Shawn, and Crystal; aid, Otis; and sitter, Ms. Betty for the care of Mrs. Magouirk.
