Mark Fenn officiating. Interment follows at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Malone was born June 25, 1921 in Unionville, LA and she passed away May 10, 2010 in West Monroe, LA. She was an active member of First Baptist Church-West Monroe where she served as a Sunday School teacher and on many committees, including the building committee involved with the new sanctuary. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. A caring heart and a genuine smile was always a part of her life. Mattie Layne worked side by side with her husband, a CPA as an accountant for many years. Mrs. Malone is survived by her husband, Henry Arvil Malone; children Charlotte Ann Null Floyd and Scott W. Malone and wife, Carla; grandchildren Deborah Floyd Henderson and husband Greg, Mitchell Floyd, Zachary Malone, and Anna Malone; great-grandchildren Sam Henderson and Ben Henderson; sister Marge Pace, and many nieces and other loved ones. Pallbearers will be Mitch Floyd, Greg Henderson, Zach Malone, Troy Bostick, Mike Martin and Alton Spillers. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Stump, Walter Lacey, Jerry Edmondson, Russell Hart, Ed Watkins. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church - West Monroe, First Baptist Church - West Monroe Library, or the Jason Paul Cameron Foundation.
