Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Funeral Home. David was born on February 6, 1947 in West Monroe, LA. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and was a retired machinist from Libbey Glass. He was a member of Living Word Church in Minden, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife Marie. He lost his life to cancer on Thursday, January 31, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents Byron and Etta Manning and wife Marie Manning. He is survived by son Jeff Manning and his wife Amanda, daughters Christie Manning and Jennifer Manning and grandchildren Piper, Madison and Bailey Manning. Pallbearers will be Jeff Taylor, Steve Watson, Brad Edwards, Jim Fowler, Leon Caldwell and Mike Beckham. The family would like to thank Jane, Martha and all the staff at Southern Care Hospice.
