Interment to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery near Farmerville. Dr. Alan Miller will be officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe. Mrs. Mashburn was born October 3, 1921 in Farmerville, LA and died September 19, 2008 in Monroe. Mrs. Mashburn served her country proudly by working on United States Aircraft during World War II. She also retired from New York Life Insurance Company after 35 years of service. Mrs. Mashburn was a longtime resident of Marietta, GA and moved to Monroe in 2003, after her husband passed away. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clete and Ruth Rogers Dumas; brother, Travis Dumas; sisters, Doris Dumas and Esther Lindow; nephew, William Dumas; and her husband William Mashburn and her first husband Paul Montgomery. Survivors include her sister, Carrie Hortman and husband Benny; brother, Elvin Dumas and wife Maria; nieces and nephews, Elvin Dumas Jr., Chris Surez, Sandy Kelly, Brenda Lindow Bruce, Gerald Dumas, Bobbie Knight, Donna Mills, Ricky Hortman and Marvyn Hortman; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
