Wednesday December 17, 2008 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Danny McIlveene and Rev. Dale Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Wilmot Cemetery, Wilmot, AR. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mr. Mason was born August 26, 1919 in Hamburg, AR and died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at his residence in West Monroe after a lengthy illness. He served during World War II in the United States Air Force. During his service to our country, he was a POW. Mr. Mason was the former owner and operator of Mason's Grocery Store and was a member and deacon of the former Claiborne Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Rials Mason and daughter, Brenda Mason Hagan. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Kenny and husband William of Dallas, TX and Linda Willis of West Monroe, LA; two granddaughters, Sandie Wilson of Dallas, TX and Angela Hill of Alexandria, LA; three grandsons, Bill Kenny of Dallas, TX, Mason Hagan and wife Brandi of Dodson, LA, and David Hagan and wife Jennifer of Akin, SC; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Wilson of Dallas, TX; and two sisters, Bennie Barnes of Donaldson, LA and Laveta Garner of Monroe, LA. Pallbearers will be Jerry Steelman, Tim Watson, Nelson Lane, Bill Kenny, Mason Hagan, and Dale Sandifer. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Barker, Buck Watson, Maloy Slocum, James Wyatt, E.L.
