LULA FAY MASSEY

Graveside services will be held for Lula Fay Massey, 81, Monday May 12, 2014 at 
11:00 AM in Baskin, LA at the Sunflower Cemetery. Officiating the service will 
be Tim Temple.

Mrs. Massey was born on February 20, 1933 and passed away on May 9, 2014. She 
was a beloved and faithful member of the Monroe Congregation of Jehovah's 
Witnesses.

Fay "Mamaw Fay" co-owned and operated Massey's Meat Market, established 1977 
along with her husband Bert Massey until her retirement. "Mamaw Fay" was a very 
gracious loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother always putting the 
needs of her family before her own. Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed.

Fay is preceded in death by her father: Richard Hartley; mother: Georgia 
Hartley; daughter: Barbara Ann Massey; great grandson: Ethan Gage Massey-Rydl; 
brothers: Joseph, Jack, Benny and Billy Hartley; and sisters: Irene Laird, Lela 
Laird, Emma Lee Thompson, Devicie McPherson and Dorothy Avery.

Fay is survived by her loving husband of just a short 67 years: Bert Albert 
Massey Sr; son: Bert Massey and wife MaryAnne of Columbia City, OR; daughter: 
Brenda Whitlock and husband Allen Whitlock of West Monroe, LA; son: Bruce Massey 
and wife Gina of San Antonio, TX; son: David Massey and wife Donna of West 
Monroe, LA; twelve grand children: John, Cheryl and Chris Massey. Allen , 
Anthony and Brandon Whitlock. Danielle Owens, Sean, Chantelle and Michelle 
Massey. Erin Hilburn and Alison Walsh; as well as fifteen great grand children.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA.
