HUGH ALLEN MATTISON

Funeral services for Mr. Hugh Allen Mattison, 77, of Monroe, will be held at 
4:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2009, at College Place Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy 
Pitson officiating. Interment will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under 
the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Mattison passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at St. Francis North Hospital. 
He was a member and deacon of College Place Baptist Church, a United States 
Army veteran, and was retired from Mattison Insurance Agency. Prior to opening 
his own insurance agency, he worked for Life and Casualty Insurance, and Union 
National Life Insurance Co.

Survivors include his wife, Rethie M. Mattison; daughter, Peggy Ann Mattison 
Thurman and husband Mike; son, Steve Allen Mattison; grand children, Bobby 
Harrison, Erin Bauer, Audrey Arnold and husband Morgan, Stephanie Huggins and 
husband Charles, Steve Allen Mattison, Jr., Matthew Mattison, and Megan Roshto; 
four great grandchildren, Danielle and Trey Harrison, and Justice and Gabriel 
Huggins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of College Place Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 PM until service time at College Place 
Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to College Place Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's 
Research Hospital.
