Lee Kneipp officiating. Burial will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. May died Thursday, March 1, 2001, at The Oaks. She was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church and a retired Ouachita Parish school teacher. Her parents, Rufus and Ida Belle Colvin; son, Ronald E. May; great grand-daughter, Megan Oglesbee; 3 brothers and 7 sisters, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Alton O. May of Monroe; daughters and sons-in- law, Marguerite and Butch Oglesbee of Marion, LA, and Jalna and David Powell of Monroe; daughter-in-law, Katie May of Monroe; brother, Jack Colvin; sisters, Peggy Ross and Mary Pauline Fischer; granddaughters, Dana Minton, Danielle Cabe, and Rebekah Huffman; grandsons, Mark Powell, Andrew Powell, and Buck Oglesbee; 3 great grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon, Saturday, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
