SIDNEY MAYFIELD

Funeral services for Rev. Sidney "Pap" Mayfield, 86, of West Monroe, LA will 
be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Lighthouse Assembly West 
Monroe. Bro. Wayne Dowdy, Bro. Randy Dowdy and Bro. Charles Joiner will 
officiate. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Rev. Mayfield was born June 28, 1927 in Monroe, LA and passed away April 6, 
2014 in West Monroe. He dedicated his life to teaching the gospel of Jesus 
Christ. He was the perfect example of Christ's love to all he met. He lived 
for time with his family, which included yearly vacations in Branson, 
Missouri. Rev. Mayfield was preceded in death by his brothers; Junior Mayfield 
and Jimmy Head and a nephew, Scotty Blakely.

Rev. Mayfield is survived by his wife of 69 years; Mildred Mayfield; son, 
Charles-Butch Mayfield; daughters; Debbie Nugent and Becky Dumas and husband 
Don; granddaughter, Jennifer Jackson and husband Nakia Jackson; great-
grandsons; Gabe and Seth Jackson; sister, Judy Blakely and husband Melvin; 
sister, Vickie Mitchell and husband Billy; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
