KATHY L. MAYO

Funeral services for Ms. Kathy L. Mayo, age 58 of Calhoun, will be held at 
10:00 AM Friday, April 25, 2014 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston. Rev. 
Wendell Sellers will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Roselawn 
Memory Gardens in Calhoun under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral 
Home of Ruston.

Ms. Mayo was born October 10, 1955 in Columbia and died April 22, 2014 in 
Monroe. She was a retired school bus driver for Catahoula Parish Schools and 
then after retirement was a stay-at-home grandma to her grandchildren. In her 
spare time, she enjoyed reading, social networking and shopping online.

Ms. Mayo is survived by her daughter: Kimberly and husband Justin Pool of 
Calhoun; two grandchildren: Jason Narvelle Pool and Jessi Leighanne Pool; her 
sister: Judy and husband Abner Norman of Clay as well as her nieces and 
nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Narvelle Elliott and 
Frances Gilmore Elliott.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 
Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston.
