AMMIE "MOLLIE" WILSON MAYO
Mulhearn Funeral Home

Sterlington Road, Monroe, La.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ammie "Mollie" Wilson Mayo, 86, of Monroe, will be 
held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 15, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral 
Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Max Bingham, Rev. Carl Lawson, Rev. 
Robert Martin, and Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Interment will follow at 
Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Mayo passed away Friday, December 11, 2009, at St. Francis Medical 
Center. She was the First Lady of Bethel Pentecostal Church, which she and her 
husband started in November 1969.

Mrs. Mayo was preceded in death by her son, Rev. Kenneth G. Mayo.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, Dr. David Mayo; daughter, 
Anise Young and husband Hiram "Poochie"; sons, David Mayo, Jr. and wife 
Brenda, Paul Mayo, Michael Mayo and wife Nancy, and Robin Mayo; seventeen 
grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, sister, Dollye Beagan; and sister-
in-law, Hester Wilson.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Dion, Stacy, and Heath Young, Keith Mayo, Chad 
Mayo, Lance Mayo, and Kyle Mayo.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Pentecostal Church.
