EDDIS E. MCCALMON

Funeral services for Mr. Eddis E. McCalmon Sr., 89 of Epps will be held at 
11:00 AM Thursday, August 23, 2012 in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi 
with Rev. Alvin Stowe officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Cox Funeral 
Home. Interment will be in the Herringville Baptist Cemetery in Monticello, LA.

Mr. McCalmon passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Montgomery VA 
Medical Center in Jackson, MS. 

He served honorably in the United States Army during World War II where he 
spent the end of the war as a Prisoner of War in Germany.

Mr. McCalmon is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Roxie McCalmon; 
one brother; four sisters; his loving wife Anna Lee; a daughter Denise; and 
two great grandchildren Rayanna & Briana.

His survivors include one daughter, Brenda Hislop of Joplin, MO; four sons, 
Gary McCalmon and Bill McCalmon both of West Monroe, LA, Eddis E. McCalmon Jr. 
of Joplin, MO and Randy McCalmon of Epps, LA; sixteen grandchildren, fourteen 
great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren along with numerous 
nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Mr. McCalmon's 
grandsons.
