MCCARTY Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra C. McCarty, 63, of Monroe will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 23, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Tommy Frost officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Sandra McCarty was born in Galveston, TX on June 14, 1945 and went to her eternal peace February 20, 2009. Sandra attended Neville High School and Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA. Mrs. McCarty was a member of College Place Baptist Church in Monroe since 1956. Nancy Sandra Cloninger and Benny McCarty were married at College Place Baptist Church and have been married for forty-four years. Sandra McCarty worked at Columbian Chemicals and was the secretary for Pastor Earl Ogg at College Place Baptist Church and retired from Louisiana Baptist Children's Home. She was a devoted member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Her life has been spent serving her family, church, and friends. She will be missed. Survivors include her husband, Benny McCarty; daughters, Kim Johnson and Pam McCarty; grandchildren, Blake Johnson, Lauren Johnson, and Chloe McCarty; mother, Mary Cloninger; brother, Darence Cloninger; numerous relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Olin Hall, Darrell Washam, Jim McCarty, Scott Cloninger, Mark Cloninger, and Perry Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Bishop and Fred Spatafora. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
