William Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA. Terra was killed Sunday, April 9, 2017, in a motor vehicle accident in Swartz, LA. She was born July 22, 1977, in Monroe, LA. Terra graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in Monroe, LA, class of 1995. On March 9, 2011, she got to marry the love of her life, Tracy D. McCarty. Not unlike her love for family, Terra LOVED Friday night football at Neville High School. If there was a game being played at Bill Ruple Stadium, you were sure to see her face among the fans. If you ever needed a stat or what team to beat on the way to the dome for State, she was certainly the McCarty to call. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was an avid reader and supported her children in all activities. She was never happier than to tell people about her children's accomplishments. Terra was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ruth Hymer of Columbia, LA; paternal grandparents, James "P.T" Albert and Judy Free Till of Crowville, LA; and uncle, Sam Hymer. Survivors include her love of her life, Tracy D. McCarty, 40, of Monroe, and together they raised three amazing children. Nothing made Terra more proud than to be their mother. Jonathan Tyler McCarty, 20, Tristen James Till, 18, and Mary Kaitlyn "Kaitie" McCarty, 16, will forever be their mother's greatest accomplishments. Also survived by, her mother and father, Mary Jo and Tim "Paw" Castleberry of Hamburg, AR.; special aunt, Brenda Scholar and husband Jimmy of Terrytown, LA; three brothers, Jerry Wayne "Bodean" Till of West Monroe, James "Cody" Till of Monroe, and Cheyenne Dennis of Austin, TX; nephew, Timothy Jo Till of Monroe; nieces, Breeanna N. Austin of Monroe and Jayde Marie Till of Monroe; mother-in-law, Sonja Franklin of Monroe; father- in-law, Terry McCarty of Monroe; and brother-in-law, Tyler McCarty of Sterlington. Pallbearers will be Rusty Till, Jacob Till, Dylan Till, Mickey Charles McCarty, Larry McCarty and Tyler McCarty. A final, and special recognition to Mr. Troy Sproles, of Swartz, LA, for quickly responding at the scene of the accident. Words could never express how much your efforts that day are appreciated. Just know that you will forever be in this family's hearts. Special thanks to all who helped and prayed with Terra and Tracy. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and to PAWS of NE Louisiana.
