BILLIE T. WILHITE MCDANIEL

Funeral services for Billie T. Wilhite McDaniel ( Mrs. Ernest Layton McDaniel), 
79, of Downsville, LA will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Rev. Luke Nolan officiating. Interment will follow 
in Mt. Nebo Cemetery-Downsville, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 
6, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home under direction 
of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mrs. McDaniel was born February 27, 
1934, in Point Wilhite, LA and passed away January 3, 2014 in Ruston, LA. She 
was a life time resident of Downsville, LA and a loving wife and mother. She 
lived for her children and grandchildren. An early marriage to her childhood 
sweetheart, Ernest Layton McDaniel, and motherhood kept her on the go, but 
retirement brought her back to the community she loved. She was a member of Mt. 
Ararat Baptist Church in Downsville and was preceded in death by her parents, 
Ruben Earl and Ruby (Henry) Wilhite of Downsville; her sister, Helen Wilhite 
Butler of Downsville; and her husband, after they had enjoyed 56 years of 
marriage. 

Survivors include her three children, Dr. Robert McDaniel and wife, Kimberly of 
Hendersonville, Tennessee; Diane McDaniel and Joye McDaniel Young and husband, 
Donnie Young, all of Downsville, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Joe Layton 
McDaniel of Brandon, Florida, Elliott McDaniel of Chicago, Illinois, Foster 
McDaniel of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Danielle Young and William Young, both 
of Downsville, Louisiana; a special nephew, Randy Butler and his family of 
Downsville and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be William Young, Corey Antley, Seth Harvil, Michael Venson, 
Mark Moon, and Brad Cummingham. Honorary Pallbearers will be her 5 grandchild.
