She was born in Monroe, LA on July 1, 1962 where she grew up participating in baton, cheer, dance, and pageantry; being crowned Little Miss Majorette, Our Little Miss Ouachita Parish, and Ideal Miss Majorette, along with other numerous talent achievements. Lori graduated from Ouachita Parish High School and met her husband, Mark while pursuing a paralegal degree. They were married September 24, 1991 and were both active members of Rowland Road Baptist Church, where she served in the nursery and VBS. They later moved to Braxton, MS in 2000. Lori's passionate love for animals led her to serving them for many years as a veterinary tech, as well as being an advocate in animal rescues. She couldn't imagine life on earth without animals due to the unconditional love they have, so much like our Heavenly Father's Love for us. Lori and Mark were AKC owner exhibitors competing in dog shows around the country showing their black and tan coonhounds, 11 at one time, gaining many accreditations. Lori also fell in love with monkeys and experienced life with 3 different species; 1 of which she leaves behind, Jimmy Joe, who was also a rescue. Lori loved her family and is survived by husband, Mark McDaniels; daughter, Kera Nicole Hunter; stepsons, Jack McDaniels & Dustin McDaniels; mother, Jo Eileen Watts Hunter; brother James "Eddie" Hunter; sister, Karen Hunter Hall; and brother-in-law Byron "Paco" Hall.
