Interment will follow at Ingram Family Cemetery, Viney Woods Road, Mer Rouge, LA. Jim was born in Monroe, LA, November 29, 1939, and passed away June 21, 2015, at the age of 75 after battling several health problems for many years. He lived in Monroe until he was 10, then moved to Denver, CO, where he grew up and finished school in 1957 at Alameda High in Lakewood, CO. He then served from 1958 to 1962 in the United States Air Force as an aircraft and missile electrical repairman. He moved back to Monroe in 1972 and entered the automobile business, where he spent 36 years. Jim was a Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Dealer in Leesville, LA., a GM Dealer in Winnfield, LA and a used car dealer in Monroe, LA. He was past treasurer of the Leesville Rotary Club, and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was an accomplished artist, a long-time member of the Ouachita River Art Guild and River City Art Association. Jim was pre-deceased by his father, Harry Stron; his step-father, Ray McDaniel; mother, Margaret Stron McDaniel; and stepson, Sam C. Ingram. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Brenda Clark Ingram McDaniel; two step- children, Donna Ingram Howie and husband Steve of Lexington, South Carolina and Leslie B. Ingram and wife Sarah, of Methwold, England; one sister, DuVette McDaniel Cox and husband, Roger of West Monroe, LA; one brother, Kim McDaniel of Calhoun, LA; three grandchildren, Katherine, James and Thomas Ingram, of Methwold, England; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time, Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or River Cities Humane Society for Cats.
