JAMES WILBURN MCGLOTHLIN

Funeral services for James "Billy" Wilburn McGlothlin, 90, of Rayville, LA will 
be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Archibald Church of Christ, 
Archibald, LA with Bro. Travis Arrant and Bro. Phil Hancock officiating. 
Interment will follow in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of 
Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. Billy was born March 17, 1925 in Yantis, TX and passed away Wednesday, 
November 18, 2015 in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Billy was a member of the Archibald Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Marine 
veteran serving during W.W.II. He worked for 40 years for the Town of Rayville 
Water Department. He was a Plus 50 year's member of the R.F. McGuire Lodge, 
#209 of Rayville and also a member of the Scottish Rite and Shriners in Monroe. 
He was an active member of the Board of Directors of the Archibald Water System 
and the Board of Directors of Archibald/Alto Fire District. He helped found the 
RC & D for a 12 parish area, and helped establish the Manger Center for the 
Retarded Citizens of Richland Parish, past member and president of the Richland 
Parish Police Jury and manager of the 911 Board.

Mr. McGlothlin is preceded in death by his wives, Claudine Jones McGlothlin and 
Audrey Shiers McGlothlin; parents, Willie "Bill" and Alma McGlothlin; son, 
Marty Shiers; and sisters, Madell "Dell" Gallien and Grace Lolley.

Survivors include his children, Beverly McGlothlin of Rayville, Onngaleah Huff 
of Rayville, Portia Clay of Rayville, Sherry Hancock and husband, Phil of 
Tyler, TX, and Jodi Shiers Wright and husband, Jason of Rayville; his brother, 
James McGlothlin of Santa Maria, CA; 12-grandchildren and 16-great 
grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Jason Wright, Rylian Wright, Daniel Hancock, Jason Huff, Holden 
Todd, and Joel Weatherly. Honorary pallbearers are Kerry Clay and Braxton 
Williams

Visitation is 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday at the Archibald Church of Christ, 
Archibald, LA.
