LEE ROY MCGREW

Funeral services for Lee Roy McGrew, 91, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 
pm, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Asbury United Methodist Church. Rev. Johnny 
Hankins and Rev. Stuart Sherman will be officiating. Interment will follow at 
Hasley Cemetery West Monroe, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 
West Monroe.

Mr. McGrew was born January 26, 1922 in Ouachita Parish and passed away Monday, 
July 29, 2013 after a short illness. He served in the United States Air Force 
during World War II. After discharge, he began his career with Brown Paper 
Company in West Monroe, and retired after 39 years with Manville. He was a 
charter member of Brownville Methodist Church later known as the Asbury United 
Methodist Church in West Monroe. He was very active in the church and will be 
deeply missed by all the members. Mr. McGrew was preceded in death by his wife 
of 64 years, Pennie Mae McGrew; brother, Hollis McGrew; sisters, Arlene Poe and 
Myrtle Pesnell.

Mr. McGrew is survived by sons; Roy Glen McGrew and wife Charlotte, Danny 
McGrew and wife Connie; daughter, Dianne Koontz and husband Gene; 
grandchildren; Jim McGrew and wife Denna, Janet Mills and husband Jeremy, Tim 
Koontz and wife Meredith, Jennifer Koontz, Stacey Hicks and husband Jeremie, 
Ryan McGrew; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Benjamin Koontz, Ethan and Jenna 
McGrew, Mick and Mason Mills and Bailey Hicks; brothers, Letrell McGrew, Ellis 
McGrew, Clayton McGrew and Joe McGrew all of West Monroe; brother-in-law, 
Dwayne Cummings and wife Reba and sister-in-law, Marlene Greer.

Pallbearers will be Jim McGrew, Tim Koontz, Ryan McGrew, Jacob Koontz, Jeremy 
Mills and Jeremie Hicks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan McGrew, Jenna McGrew, Mick Mills, Mason 
Mills, Bailey Hicks and Benjamin Koontz.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
