The service will be under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rev. J. Roddy Taylor and Rev. Lynn Malone officiating. Pallbearers will be Saqib Roy, Todd Hicks, Trey Lutrick, Ryan Nelson, Cody McGuire, and Slade Hampton. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 PM until time for the service at 2:00 PM on Sunday afternoon. Logan was born in Oak Grove, Louisiana, on December 20, 1958, and departed for his heavenly home on Friday, June 6, 2014 in Monroe, Louisiana, after a sudden illness. He was a very successful independent IT contractor with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from ULM; had accreditations from Microsoft, Nortel and NCR. His many clients included CenturyLink, Diebold, Wal-Mart, and NCR. Logan's technical expertise was enviable, but it was his dedication, honesty, integrity and strength of character that set him apart from his peers. Logan will also be remembered for his "I got this", "There's nothing I can't fix" attitude and for his willingness to use his abundant skills to help others. One should not forget Logan's love for animals, from raising chickens at the age of 9 to the adoption of a little four-legged companion, Tiger. Logan was blessed by God in so many ways. Although Logan had no children of his own, his niece and nephew, Kennedy and Cody were his pride and joy. Logan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jack and Joyce Danley, his paternal grandparents Louis and Ruth McGuire, and his aunt Etta Lee Mounger. He leaves behind many who will always remember him with much love. Logan is survived by his parents Charlotte and Ed McGuire, his brother and sister-in-law, Lane and Wendy McGuire, his nephew Cody McGuire, his niece Kennedy McGuire, uncles and aunts Mike and Delores Danley, Cissy and Ron Ellis, Emily and Bob Henson, and Mary Jane and Billy Hughes, and many cousins and friends. In Matthew 11:28 Jesus tells us, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Logan worked hard, exercised his uncommon skills, and earned his rest, which the Lord has given him. God's speed Logan McGuire, and may the wind be always at your back. Donations in Logan's memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church at 3900 Loop Road, Monroe, LA 71201.
