"Mac" McIntyre, 65, of Shreveport, LA will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 800 Downing Pines Rd, West Monroe, LA. Mr. McIntyre was born in Monroe, LA on July 8, 1949. He passed away Monday, July 14, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene N. McIntyre, of Monroe, LA. Survivors include his sons Jason and Justin McIntyre of Shreveport, LA; mother S. Geneva McIntyre of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren Jammeson and Sara-Grace McIntyre of Shreveport, LA; sister Rita McIntyre of West Monroe, LA; sister Sharon Dickson and husband Scott of Calhoun, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Stallings, Joe Davis, Larry Martin, and Billy Redmond. "Mac" served the communities in Ouachita Parish for many years as a dispatcher for the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office and the Louisiana State Police. He was most recently employed by Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts in Monroe, LA. The family would like to express their gratitude to the OPSO and Bumper to Bumper for their loyal friendship to Mac throughout the years. Mr. McIntyre was a loving father, son, and brother, and a respected member of the community. His integrity and values have been an example to all who have known him.
