Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mr. McLemore passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center. Jim graduated from Ole Miss and earned his MBA from ULM. As a CPA in OK and LA, he worked at IBM, Borg-Warner and retired as a Financial Officer from Olinkraft. He was a Boy Scout and enjoyed many outdoor activities. As a long-standing, active member of First Christian Church, he was an instrumental part of building the church and served as Elder and Chairman of the Board. Jim was a devoted husband, Daddy, and Papa who loved spending time with his family, especially teaching his children and granddaughters the joys of fishing. He was a father figure to many of his nieces and nephews and taught them valuable life lessons. Many have described him as the nicest, kindest man, who never met a stranger. He loved our Lord and was the best example of a Christian man. Mr. McLemore was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Lou McLemore; and sister, Ina Dean Smith. Survivors include his wife, Leta Faye Peyton McLemore; children, Carole McLemore, Sheila McLemore McCarty and husband Mike, and Brent McLemore and wife Sondra; grandchildren, Holly Jones, Clementine McLemore, and Gracie McLemore; sister, Margie Pauls; and many special extended family members. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
