WILLIAM N. MCNABB

Graveside services for Mr. William N. McNabb will be 10:00am Saturday, August 
1, 2015 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Eros, La with Rev. Tony Smith 
officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West 
Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Friday, July 31, 2015 at 
the funeral home.

Mr. McNabb was born November 5, 1927 in Ward 9, Ouachita Parish and passed from 
this life on July 28, 2015 in Monroe, La at the age of 87. He volunteered to 
serve his country with the US Navy in support of World War II at age 17, after 
graduating from Ouachita Parish High School. He served on multiple Destroyers 
in the Western Pacific Theater.

He married the love of his life, Joyce Lane Wood on September 10, 1955. He was 
a loving husband and father that always put family first and he was a brother 
and a friend to many people. He was always professional and led by example 
throughout his life. He graduated from Louisiana Business College and retired 
from Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lane McNabb; one daughter, Debra 
Lane McNabb; parents, Mathew and Mae Worley McNabb; two brothers, Anders Otha 
McNabb and Robert McNabb; and one sister, Clara McNabb.

Survivors include his son, William Brian McNabb & wife Linda of Boydton, VA; 
and one sister, Jeffesonia McNabb of Louisville, MS; also survived by numerous 
friends.
