KATHERINE HAYDEN MCNEER

Funeral services for Katherine Hayden McNeer, 94, of Monroe, will be held at 
2:00 PM, Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Pastor Stan Pody officiating. Interment will 
follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. McNeer died Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Ridgecrest Community Care 
Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William E. 
McNeer. Mrs. McNeer had been a member of First Baptist Church Monroe since 
1951, and taught Sunday school. She had a wonderful and loving spirit and 
embodied the true meaning of being a Christian by loving others in a 
nonjudgmental and caring manner. Rarely did she meet a stranger. She loved 
music, singing hymns, and reading scripture. Mrs. McNeer also loved to sing 
along with the Beatles and Susan Boyle. She will be missed by everyone whose 
lives she touched. 

Survivors include her son, William E. McNeer, Jr.; daughters, Katherine 
Anderson and husband Vernon; Rebecca Buckner and husband Richard; and Gail 
Moulder and husband Ed; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and sister, 
Mildred Vail.

Pallbearers will be Hayden Winkler, Seth Winkler, Chad Moulder, David Jackson, 
and Randy Alexander.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Monroe.
