THOMAS OLIVER MEDLEY

Funeral services for Thomas Oliver Medley, 64, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 
PM, Sunday, March 8, 2015, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe 
with Reverend Paul Medley officiating. Interment will follow at the West 
Carroll Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Medley was reunited with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 
3, 2015 in Monroe.

Tom Medley retired as a Major in the Monroe Police Department after serving 33 
years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Northeast Louisiana 
University, and was a member of the Acacia Fraternity and ROTC. He was a member 
of the Monroe Police Union Local #81. He loved literature, reading a good book 
with a good cup of coffee, and cheering on his New Orleans Saints, win or lose. 
He loved traveling to see his daughters and fishing with good friends.

Mr. Medley was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Frances and Hilma Faye 
Medley, and his sister, Joyce Reid.

Survivors include his daughters, Megan McLaughlin and husband Ian; Blair 
Culbreath and husband Cody; and Caitlin Medley; grandchildren, Collin 
Culbreath, Evan McLaughlin; brothers, Reverend Paul Medley and wife JoRene, and 
Bruce Medley; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ken Shively, Dan Fuller, Charles Pritchard, Cody Culbreath, 
Ian McLaughlin and Don Bartley. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 
Monroe Police Department.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
