MEDLIN Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville, LA Milas B. Medlin was born July 21, 1917 in Marion, Louisiana and lived there until death except for the few months spent at Arbor Rose in Farmerville. He passed away February 12, 2009. Mr. Milas was preceded in death by his wife Modine W. Medlin, his parents Dr. and Mrs. Milas Medlin, three brothers, Elton, Jack, Bill, and one sister, Maudine. He is survived by his three children, Sue Medlin Marcus of McKinney, Tx, Milas (Bubba) and his wife Paula of Strong, AR, and Charles (Charlie) and his wife Cindy of Marion, LA as well as ten grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Jean McCartney and Iva Pardue of Marion, and brother, Toby Medlin and wife Mary Nell of Marion as well as nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ernestine Slade of Conway, LA was his special friend. For many years, he attended two or three different churches a week before making Conway Church his church home. He loved Conway and all his friends there. Prior to her death, he and Modine attended weekly dances and visited their many friends. Rev. David Martin and Mr. Milas spent many hours visiting the "old people" as he referred to them. Everywhere he went, people would greet him. It always amazed him that so many people knew him by name. Tri-Ad and the Council on Aging were also part of his daily routine . Until recently, he still drove and made his rounds each day, always dressed in a white shirt and dress pants. Special thanks to his hospice nurse, Suzanne Hattten and the staff at Arbor Rose. The family feels he was truly loved and cared for. Services will be at Conway Baptist Church Saturday, February 14, 2009 at two o'clock officiated by Rev Matt Taylor, Rev. David Martin and Rev. Bubba Hoggatt. Visitation will be at Conway Church on Friday evening between 6:00 PM and 8:00. Services will be under the direction of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home of Farmerville. Pallbearers will be grandsons Todd Pace, Mike Pace, Jeff Medlin, Jason Medlin, Brad Medlin, and Vince Medlin and granddaughters Johnette Pace and Whitney Medlin. Interment will be at Concord Cemetary in Marion.
