DOROTHY FRANCES WILLIAMS MIDDLETON

Arcadia, LA

Mrs. Dorothy Frances Williams Middleton, age 82, died Monday, August 25, 2008, 
in Arcadia, LA. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Arcadia, LA, at 
10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Hoffman 
and Dr. George Steere. Burial will be at the Arcadia Cemetery immediately 
following the funeral service. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 
26 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia from 5. P.M. - 7 P.M.

Dottie was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia and worked 
in many areas of the church always willing and eager to serve her Lord. Mrs. 
Middleton was an active member of the Arcadia Internos Club and PEO. Dottie's 
children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren remember her as a very warm, 
loving, caring, and generous Mom and Grandmother who taught them to love and 
live life to its fullest. She will always be remembered for her beautiful 
smile and kind, sweet Christian spirit.

Dottie was born in Graceville, Florida on October 20, 1925 to Frank and Ila 
Williams. She met Dr. Henry H. Middleton, Jr., while she was attending LSU 
Nursing School and he was attending LSU Medical School in New Orleans, LA. 
After years of rearing and caring for their children, Dottie, a Registered 
Nurse, loved working side-by-side with her husband at the Arcadia Clinic. They 
married on August 10, 1946, and celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary 
earlier this month.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving 
husband, Henry, brothers Pat Williams and wife Martha, and Bill Williams and 
wife Jimmie Nell, her sisters Ruby Pelt and Jean Moore, all of Graceville, FL; 
five children, Dr. Huson Middleton and wife Kathy, Albuquerque, NM, Dr. Tom 
Middleton and wife Alice, Monroe, LA, Dr. Berry Middleton and wife Jeanne, 
Hendersonville, TN, Dr. Bruce Middleton and wife Jan, Mt. Airy, NC, and 
Kathleen Newell and husband Sam, Arcadia, LA; twelve grandchildren, David 
Middleton and wife Rachel, Mark Middleton, James Middleton, Adam Middleton and 
wife Shannon, Nikki Fuller and husband Chris, Kirk Middleton and wife Jessica, 
Dr. Peter Middleton and wife Rebekah, Jenny Holt and husband Jake, Daniel 
Middleton, Matt Middleton and wife Leslie, Chris Middleton, Casey Middleton 
and wife Lindsey; seven great-grandchildren, Megan and Lance Fuller, Hannah 
Grissom, Jackson, Joseph and Eliana Holt, Emma Jean Middleton, and many nieces 
and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Middleton's grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Arcadia.
