MILLER Funeral services celebrating the life of Leo Anthony Miller, Jr., 71, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday December 28, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Richard Norman officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Garden in Calhoun, LA. Mr. Miller died December 25, 2015 at his residence. Leo was a former member of Grace Episcopal Church in Lake Providence and St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Monroe. He was a graduate of Lee High School in Baton Rouge, received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from LSU and his Juris Doctorate from LSU Law School in 1970. He was an Eagle Scout and also was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at LSU. Leo served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He began his practice of law in 1973 in Lake Providence and continued his practice in West Monroe until shortly before his death. He was involved in the activities of the Krewe of Janus, serving as King Janus XXVIII in 2011. Leo was a past president of the Ouachita River Power Squadron. He loved traveling and dancing with his wife, playing Texas Hold 'em and going out on the town. Survivors include his wife, Catherine M. Miller; two sons, George Austin Miller and wife, Lisa and Lee Anthony Miller and wife, Rhonda; Daughter, Elizabeth Miller McLean and husband, Kenneth; step daughter, Kayla Lee and husband, Jake and step-son, Jason Thompson; Grandchildren, Phoebe and George Miller, Adeline, Mary Elizabeth, and David Miller, John and Jim McLean, Jackson, Abby Kate, Isabella and Amelia Lee; two brothers, Wendell Miller and wife, Dawn and Ferrell Miller and wife, Helen; nieces and nephews, Lauren, Jordan, Brad and Evan. Pallbearers will be Chip Miller, Lee Miller, Wendell Miller, Ferrell Miller, Jason Thompson, Jake Lee, and Kenneth McLean. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilots for Patients. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Scott Barron, Dr. Bryan Kansas, and the nurses and staff at St. Francis Medical Center for their special care given to Leo.
