Marion Louise Bennett Mills was born on August 11, 1922 in Caldwell Parish to the union of her loving parents, Felix Bruce Bennett and Laura Elizabeth Finley Bennett, and she passed from this life on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by the absolute love of her life, Rev. K. D. Mills, her parents, one brother, A.J. Bennett and one sister, Mildred Bennett Lively. Rev. and Mrs. Mills were married December 23, 1939 and devoted their lives to the work of God. That spiritual journey began in Rio Dell, California shortly after their marriage where he served as youth pastor. They returned to Louisiana in 1943 and continued their ministry as pastor at Big Ridge Pentecostal Church. They answered God's call and accepted the pastorate at Clarks United Pentecostal Church in 1956, where Bro. Dee continued to pastor until his death in 1985. Sister Louise continued her dedication to the Clarks church until her death. She was devoted to leading the Ladies Auxiliary as they worked tirelessly to raise money for the building fund. Everyone will always remember the cakes, pies, plate lunches, sandwiches, doughnuts and the infamous Pentecostal peanut brittle. The community will forever remember that the doors of their home were always open and there was always room at the table for whoever wanted or needed a safe haven, or just a good meal.
