Interment will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX. Mrs. Mimms was born in 1930 in Pioneer, LA and died Monday, December 7, 2015, at her residence in Monroe. She spent most of her life in Monroe, LA but lived in Dallas, TX for 29 years with her husband Ray Mimms. Willene was a hairdresser who worked and owned shops in LA and TX for 40 years. She was an artist and spent many hours crocheting for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and many friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She attended Skillman Church of Christ in Dallas and was a member of Forsythe Avenue Church of Christ in Monroe. Mrs. Mimms was preceded in death by her parents, Cummings and Ollie Durbin; brothers, J. C. and Charles Lane Durbin and Quitman "Cat" Durbin. Survivors include children, Patsy and Frank Anzalone; and Steve Ray; grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey Anzalone and wife Rebekah; Brad Anzalone and wife Kristal; great grandchildren, Brooks, Benton, Teresa Lynn, and Bradley Jr. Anzalone; special sister-in-law, Annette Durbin; special friends, Sally Hines, Linda Reeves and husband Terry, and her card playing friends; and many special nieces, nephews, and other friends. Visitation will be from 10:30AM until 12:30PM at the church. The family wishes to extend their thanks to First Choice Hospice, and her loving caretakers, Alberta, Bonnie, Diane, Evangeline, Jackie, and Peggy. Memorials may be made to Forsythe Avenue Church of Christ.
