She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Paul Inman Moomey (November 1987); four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her sons, Paul Moomey Jr. and wife Brenda, Lawrence Moomey and wife Susan; daughters, Susan Morris and husband Tony, Betsy Hawkins and husband Greg; grandchildren, Caye Harrison and husband Wayne, Michael Moomey, Kelly Rhame and husband Mike, Addison Scott and Nolan Scott; great grandchildren, Sabrina, Josie, Jordyn, Jade and Cambrie. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Bouissey; her niece, Cheryl Montgomery Yarbrough; and a host of extended family and friends. Kay was born October 8, 1923, in Malone, New York to Lawrence and Mildred Moses Bouissey. She went to school and worked in upstate New York until she met and married Paul, also of Malone, NY on May 6, 1946. Due to Paul's commitment to the Air Force, they lived in numerous locations in the continental United States and abroad including Casablanca, Morocco. The family finally settled in Monroe, Louisiana in the early 70's and spent the remainder of their married life there. Kay continued to live in Monroe until three years ago, when she decided to move closer to family in Houston, Texas. Kay was a devout Catholic and was very active at Jesus of Good Shepherd and St. Matthews Catholic Churches in Monroe. Shortly after moving to Monroe she joined the Newcomers Club and was an active member for many years. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, ice-skating, and was a member of a canasta card group. She loved collecting antique glass, and was a quintessential artist. Most importantly, she was a great wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Kay will be held on November 4th and 5th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home located at 2308 Sterlington Rd. Monroe, LA 71203. There will be a graveside service on November 6, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens located at 451 Highway 151 South, Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.
