J.V MOORE


Funeral services for J. V. Moore, 82, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM 
Saturday, May 14, 2011, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington 
Road, Monroe, with Rev. John Mark Little officiating. Interment will follow at 
Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Moore passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011, after a lengthy illness. He was 
a retired Deputy Chief of Monroe Fire Department with 39 ? years of service, 
member of National Fire Protection Association, and owner of Moore Fire 
Extinguisher Service, Inc. Mr. Moore was a United States Navy Veteran and a 
member of Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Verdell J. Moore; two sons, 
Robert Glen Moore, Sr., and Harold Bruce Moore; daughter, Connie Moore 
Barbera; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rob Moore, Ryan Moore, Ron Moore, Stephen Moore, Landon 
Sapp, and John Green.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
